Do you like the music of Grace Jones, New Order, Talking Heads? Allez Allez have funky bass lines, soul diva Sarah Osbourne on vocals and a knack for melodies. All three elements make this a neat party album.
Check out ‘Marathon Dance’ or ‘Turn Up The Meter’ with its cheesy 1980s style saxophone. Many bands reference the 80s in their music these days. Belgian band Allez Allez did not have the advantage of hindsight when they recorded the tracks on this album between 1982 and 1983. Bear this in mind when you listen to the music here. If you absolutely hate the 80s, then I would steer clear of this album.
If that doesn’t deter you, then some of the tracks here have what it takes to become your new party favourites. Too long have Allez Allez been the secret weapon of leftfield DJs like the Optimo crew. A popular London based DJ duo even went so far to name itself after the band.
Check out Allez Allez and add some spice to your next party.
